Planning an estate installation
An estate fountain is a construction project, not a purchase. The basin is set on a prepared pad, the tiers are stacked and pinned, joints are sealed, and the plumbing and electrical are run before anything is filled.
Get the diameter right first. In a motor court, the fountain should read as the hub of the turning circle, measure the circle, then size the basin so there's comfortable driving clearance around it and the fountain still dominates the space.
Practical items worth settling early: a GFCI circuit within reach, a dedicated water line for autofill, and where overflow goes during winter rain. Solving these on the plan costs nothing; solving them after the hardscape is poured costs a lot.
