Terra cotta with weight behind it

Hand-thrown Mediterranean jars, glazed Anduze urns, ribbed olive pots and clean-lined planters, the pieces that anchor a driveway, a terrace or a courtyard.

What's usually on the yard

Our pottery runs from small hand-thrown pots up to jars taller than the person planting them. The terra cotta is fired for outdoor life in Southern California: full sun, dry heat, and the occasional soaking winter.

Glazed Anduze urns arrive in the classic green and the softer natural finishes, and they patina the way they're supposed to, the glaze wears back to clay at the rim and the belly, which is the whole point of them.

Stock moves. If you're after a specific size, a matched pair, or a run of the same planter for a project, come by and we'll tell you what's here and what can be brought in.

Handled olive jars

Classic Mediterranean forms with rolled rims and applied handles. Good on their own, better in threes.

Glazed statement urns

Swirled blue and turquoise glazes over clay, bright enough to carry a covered porch or a sunroom on their own.

Oversized white-rimmed terra cotta jars in the yard

Oversized jars

Four-foot-plus vessels with white-washed rims. Used as sculpture more often than as planters.

Good to know

Sizes
Roughly 12 inches up past 48 inches tall. Bring your opening measurements and we'll match them on the yard.
Drainage
Most planters are drilled. The decorative jars are not, ask before you plant into one.
Moving it home
Large jars need two people and straps, or a delivery. Talk to the counter before you load anything.
Pairs and runs
Matched pairs for an entry, or a full run for a landscape job, can be sourced with lead time.
